Super Fast Internet
An optical technologies are being tested in Japan and the technology is capable of reaching transfer speeds 30 terabytes per second (Tbps) or more than 32 Billion Kbps. The test had been conducted by KDDI R & D Labs with the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) in Japan.
The technology has been tested using the alias of transmission called OFDM Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex.
Speed of 500 kilobits per second (Kbps), for example, have included the earnings for normal daily usage. Meanwhile, the average Internet speed in the world, based on final data in 2008 is 1.5 Mbps or 1500 Kbps. At this rate, per second of data that can be sent to reach 3.9 million, or almost 1000 MB DVD movies per second. (PC-M)
